Eddie, the local bald eagle, soars overhead here, and that’s just one of the many delights at this campground tucked away in the Piney Woods region of East Texas. The campground wraps along the shore of Lake Livingston, the state’s second-largest lake. It’s an ideal setting for boating, swimming, fishing for bass and catfish, relaxing, and even enjoying a lakefront RV Site. Lakefront amenities include:
The clubhouse with a full kitchen is great for reunions, parties, and rallies. Enjoy themed weekends (seasonal), planned activities, and concessions. Fido will have fun at the dog park. End the day with friends as you relax around a campfire viewing a splendid sunset.

LAKESIDE OASIS HOMESTYLE EATS
Lakeside Oasis is bringing a full-service restaurant and bar to the On the Lake RV Resort located in Onalaska, TX. Their mission is to provide the On the Lake RV Resort community and the communities surrounding Lake Livingston with convenient, delicious, and friendly restaurant service.

– Open 7 days a week for lunch, and dinner
– Breakfast is served Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Longhorn Cavern State Park
Less than 20 minutes away, Longhorn Cavern state park is a unique Hill Country destination full of natural beauty and Texas-sized tales. the park’s star attraction is Longhorn Cavern, an underground wonder created by the dissolving and cutting action of an ancient river.

Torr Na Lochs Vineyard & Winery
Torr Na Lochs (tore nah locks) Vineyard and Winery overlooks Inks and Buchanan Lakes in the Highland Lakes area of the Texas Hill Country. The name translates from the Gaelic language to "hill over lakes" and describes the site perfectly. Our objective is to grow grapes suited for our terroir and produce wines from only Texas grown fruit.

Inks Lake State Park
A 1,200-acre state park known for the 803-acre Inks Lake used for fishing, scuba diving and other water sports is located 10 minutes down the road from Big Chief Rv Resort. Because the lake’s level usually stays constant, you can play here year-round. Rent paddle boats, canoes, or kayaks and explore the park at your pleasure.
